City of Calgary Roads App Reviews

Slow!! Fix it please!!

Crashes frequently. Does not help in planning travel in the city and does not show areas that have been ploughed or sanded. Not sure what is the purpose of this app.

Launch and it sakes to rate the app. I select remind me later. Crash. This happened three times. So, when it ask to rate it again when its launched, here I am, rating it. Apple really should allow a 0 star rating.

Managed to read one report but could not get back to it app wanted me to sign up to twitter & would not leave that page.

I cant even get on the app to know if its even any good. Terrible. Ive tried many times and now I will delete app as its useless

Doesnt work on IOS7, freezes the phone completely.

I thought the map would refresh to my current location, but it wasnt even close. I was looking for road closures due to construction, but there were no updates or notifications. When I zoomed into the correct place on the map, the construction information in that specific intersection wasnt even accurate. Whats the point of this app if we cant get current or correct information?

Gives very general information. Doesnt show accidents very good.

I downloaded this to my 6+ and it just hangs on the splash screen.

Its really not much more than a "thats kinda neat" app. It lets you access the cameras, but the pictures are so low-res you cant tell much more what the weather is. Theyre stills, so its really hard to tell how heavy the traffic is. Also, there is nothing that tells you about road or traffic conditions other than the current location of sanding trucks. Lastly load times are really slow on iPhone 4, so you have to wait 30 seconds before you try it again if you think you missed the button if its the same place as the close button on the next window. Otherwise the window youre trying to open will just close as soon as it (finally) opens.

Flood of the century and road closures have not been mentioned. Last update for news is 6 weeks old. Only about 40% of cameras work ( but in fairness they dont on the website either). One could argue that with everything going on it was a low priority to maintain. But isnt that the point of the app??? Fact remains the latest information on it is 6 weeks old, long b4 the flood.
